Jettdude
Im watching this and the artifact they found was in a ammo can in the middle of the woods, sounds familiar eh? Quote Link to comment
+lacey38655
I just got through watching the show and was really disappointed to see that the teams were not using a Gps. The show reminded me to much of the Amazing Race and Survivor. I will continue to follow the show, and hopefully it will get better. Quote Link to comment
+TucsonThompsen
Actually, I know a couple of cachers who tried out for the show: Flagman and John&Jess went to the local try outs in San Diego at the PB Bar and Grill calling themselves "Team Show me the Cache". Appraently Flagman and J&J didn't have enough of the "SD T&A" factor in their favour given the appearance of the San Diego team that DID make it on there. ANd truth be said, Flagman and John and Jess as some of the best puzzlers I know And would've wiped the floor with those puzzles they threw at them tonight. I mean....Morse code? Uhh....been there done that. Now I want to see them bust a Vigenere in the field without a keyword. That'd be some real puzzling. That said...I'm hooked. Gotta watch. -TT-- Quote Link to comment
+Hokers
Lked the show, not as much as the Amazing Race, but it will do. Can you buy ammo cans with combo locks? Would be a great thing for the end of a series of puzzle caches. Quote Link to comment
+Crusso
Anyone seen this yet? It's actually pretty interesting and has some great ideas for cool hides/clue usage. They are currently running some kind of promotional cash win tie-in (NBC.com). would be great if a Geocacher won it! In one episode they built a combo lock into an ammo box. I scrutinized the footage and it actually looks easy to do with off the shelf stuff. Got some ideas..... Quote Link to comment
Jettdude
I have kind of been watching this show a bit and I thought it was just like geocaching. Those Codepad lock box ammo cans would be great cache containers. Quote Link to comment
SAWKS
I'd say it is the biggest multi/puzzle/unknown cache I've ever seen(on TV of course). Quote Link to comment
Electric_Ashalar
Cool concept, but done properly,a society may emerge. A sphere can teach you,a world can reach you. This series... That's just T.V. "AN" is a reality, and geocaching: will NEVER be the same. endeavor yee the game??? The Hunt is on,the prey is here. Release the Hounds! This aint yer daddy's globe. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I merged two threads about the TV show together. And if this subject is of interest to you, there's also a thread or two in the "Geocaching Topics" forum. Enjoy. Quote Link to comment
