What exactly does watching a cache involve?

If you are watching a cache, you will get an email when someone logs the cache, whether with a Note, a DNF, or a Found it.

 

I will put a cache on my watchlist if I couldn't find it, or if I've dropped off a special Travel Bug, or if it was particularly fun and I want to read about other people's experiences.

Someone logged on one of my caches that they are watching it because they didn't think it would last, whatever that means. Now there's a vote of confidence. At least they were honest!

I am watching several caches, I get e-mails for "Found it" and notes but never for DNFs, even though they have been posted. It isn't until I get a found email and check the cache page that I'll see several DNFs have been logged, but never a mail was sent. Always aggravates me, and more so now since it seems you do get them.
