southwold jack
Looking to do some Geocaching while I am in London, England. Does anyone have any favorites that you would like to recommend? Thanks! Southwold Jack Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
I'm moving this to the UK forum where the locals lurk and are more likely to be able to help. Quote Link to comment
+rutson
I'm sure there are many who lurk, but some of us post as well! Quote Link to comment
+currykev
I would recommend a slow walk along the river from Westminster Bridge to Blackfriers and beyond.Or a trip around London's major parks also recommended.Google Earth will pinpoint a few along the way.And we do like a virtual and micro in London town. Good luck. Quote Link to comment
+Simply Paul
Do a UK forum search for lots of past visitor's threads after the same info - there's been lots of good advice given in the past. I hope you enjoy your visit! Quote Link to comment
+Chris n Maria
Take a look at the [link=http://stats.geocacheuk.com/misc/tube.php]caching tube map[/link], the tube is the easiest way to visit most of central london. Quote Link to comment

alistair_uk
Slightly off topic, but only slightly. This get asked so frequently should we consider a pinned topic for London recommendations? Quote Link to comment
+Simply Paul
Good call. Mind you, would visitors to the UK forum even look at the pinned threads before hitting the 'New Topic' button? I know I probably wouldn't. While we're talking pinned topices, can we have one for 'I don't like congratulations theads' too please Quote Link to comment

I know I probably wouldn't. Probably not, but at least it would be a convenient place to refer to. While we're talking pinned topices, can we have one for 'I don't like congratulations theads' too please ...and possibly one for suggestions for pinned threads. Quote Link to comment
+purple_pineapple
I ran out of time before work to post this this morning, but here is my own bookmark list - its short at the moment - anyone want to add to it?! Quote Link to comment

The search fascility at GCUK.COM allows the user ratings to indicate the unusual or outstanding caches. Here is the caches centred on my Office just of Trafalgar Square that are rated in the top 40% - http://stats.geocacheuk.com/caches/search_...&order=distance Quote Link to comment
+Alibags
Have a look at the caches around Regents Park. There are some proper sized caches, not just micros, including an ammo can!! Search for caches centred on Caras College Cache. Public transport is nice and easy, there is a tube station at nearby Marylebone, which is a short walk away. It is easy to access the series along the Regents Canal from here as well. Quote Link to comment
