+CbusRog Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Excluding the SD card, does anyone know how much internal memory the GPSMAP 60CSx has? I can't seem to find out via web search. Quote

-Oz- Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Correct, none for map storage but I'm gonna guess 56mb sinces thats what the 60c has. Quote
+GOT GPS? Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 The Map60C, had a 64meg chip in it, and 6 megs was for the tiny basemap, and 56 megs for uploaded detail maps, and about 2 megs left for user data I believe, and the firmware may have been on another chip. The Map60Cx, has the same cheap basemap of 6megs, and the same amount of room for user data in it, so it may be a real tiny memory, like an 8meg chip, but I could be wrong. Quote
nilgiri Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I think, that it is still 64MB or 32MB, 8MB for basemap and so on and 56 MB (24MB) for map cache, which serves as fast access memory for indexes, POIs and maps around my location and cursor location. This cache memory is filled with data from datacard. This is only my opinion, but many signs say this may be true. What do you think? Quote
