+BedlingtonDuo
Just to let those of you know who met the Bedlington Duo... Dino passed away yesterday (9th June 2006) aged just 4 years old. He and his Brother Max loved to go caching with us - we have no Kids, Max & Dino are our kids. Dino was greatly loved by both of us and is going to be desperately missed by the both of us, as well as Max. He may be gone from this world but he is never going to be forgotten. +qichina
I think sometimes people with kids don't realise how attached people can get to their 'substitute children', and that the grief can be as real as if it were a loss of human life. I'm very sorry. I expect Dino had a good life though! Qichina Quote Link to comment

+woZere
We share your loss, we were lucky to have Dino stay/holiday and cache with us and his character and temprement was first class amongst 4 or 2 legged companions. We saw at first hand the love and effection you both had for him and the laughter he brought into your lives with his own blend of Bedlington traits. Im sure if our dogs Charlie and Tigger (Bedlington) knew of his loss they would be distrought, Tigger especially who buddied up with Dino when ever they met. Our thoughts are with you as you come to terms with Dino`s passing, perhaps you will take comfort in the great life he had with yourselves and that nobody could have give more than you did. +Chris n Maria
So sorry for your loss "We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam 'Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...' Take care, Maria Edited June 12, 2006 by Chris n Maria Quote Link to comment
