What Are The 'unlimited' Geocoins?

The original Canadian coin hasn't changed since it was first released. There is a new GC.com trackable color coin they are now offering. I don't know if they plan to discontinue the original series, or just let their current inventory sell out and not mint any further. It's between that one and the Texas coins for the oldest "for sale" coins.

I know of 3 older versions of the Texas geocoin. There is a fourth version (colorized) is available for sale now. The coins that have been in my collection the longest are the Canadian and Texas. After that... Vacman, Conejo, Greenman and the Joy of Geocaching coins are next in age. I'm not sure, but I think some of these are still available from their original sources. They may have done some updating to the coin designs... the Conejo in my collection has a minting date of 2004 on it.

Some of the state coins, like Michigan for instance, will mint additional coins to keep them available in their organization's store. Michigan also mints seasonal coins, but it goes back and forth whether or not they are available to residents outside of MI, which is very fustrating. Keep this in mind if you like to get complete sets.

The USA geocoins (non color) have been available from their site pretty consistantly. They will order additional inventory to replenish a year's run. The design has changed from year to year. I found the 2004 series to be the hardest to aquire, but that's because I was trying more to trade for it.

There are probably some that I am forgetting, but I'm only considering this to be a primer. I didn't post links to where the coins can be purchased, because some of them do not meet the guidelines for these forums. They can however be found on my Geocoin Referece page... a link can be find in my sig below.

When terracachers.org releases their coin it will be unlimited though it will probably be revised yearly.

Since I don't anticipate a huge rush on them unlimited may still mean low quantities.

Beyond your own list, Washington was willing to mint more based on demand.
