+Cave Troll and Eeyore Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Setting off for COC 2006 once the rush hour is passed. Should be a nice drive on this fine and sunny day. Quote
+badger Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 C'mon, own up... Who broke the site again??? Or is it time to buy a new hamster for the servers? Quote

+HazelS Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I have a zillion caches to plan before I head off away for the wekeend (sadly not to COC) and I'm getting cross!!! Matt - see if you can find a fury creature at COC to give to TPTB for the servers! Quote
+currykev Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I'm chained to my desk at work anyways.GRRRRRR!! Quote
+Teasel Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Does this mean I have to do my chores???? No, we can't have that! I've added a quick bodge to G:UK so that, until geocaching.com is back up, you can still see a (very!) basic cache details page. Quote

Wow, thanks very much Teasel, sounds like the work of a genius to me Quote
+Windsocker Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 its back up but with loads of errors on the cache pages can't they get anything right An Error Has Occured Invalid column name 'RefName'. Quote
+Mr'D Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Looking at the Geocaching.com Web Site forum pages, it does seem there has been major problems Let's hope all is recoverable... Quote
+BikerKats Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I hope it's up and running by this evening as we've got to plan for COC! Quote
alistair_uk Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I already managed to move one meeting outside today and it was a lot more productive because of people being more at ease. It is to hot for caching though and I have cut caching trips short because it was of a similar temperature. Don't get me wrong, I like a bit of warmth, but a light cloud cover is appreciated when I am exposed to the sky for a while. Quote
Lactodorum Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I've posted what little I know here. Unfortunately it means we can't review any new caches either so I'm re-filling my glass and heading back out into the garden. Quote
Lactodorum Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Curses - bang goes my relaxing afternoon in the garden !! Quote

Lactodorum Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Curses - bang goes my relaxing afternoon in the garden !! You mean you haven't got a laptop with a wireless connection to bypass these sort of problems? That's exactly how I do things! I tell you, sitting under a tree in the garden, with the laptop and a glass of something cold is hellish hard work Quote
