holograph Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 The May statistics have been posted to the statistics page. Check out shorbird, taking first place for the year on his/her first month on the chart! Congratulations to everyone for their finds. The maps were also updated. Here's where we were hunting in May: Quote
mloser Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Thanks again Holo. I always look forward to the start of a month to see the stats and maps. Your work is appreciated. Quote
+Ernmark Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Ditto ! As a map fiend - I look forward to the updated maps each month....how do you find the time ?! Quote
+PFF Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 (edited) Check out shorbird, taking first place for the year on his/her first month on the chart! I salute Shorbird for an impressive recovery effort. In fairless, however, it should be pointed out that Shorbird has submitted, in one month, all his/her finds from mid-November 2005, onward. I stopped counting after several dozen 2005 recoveries. Technically, those should be in the total for 2005 instead of 2006. Still, that's a lot of recoveries in a six month period. Even with a deduction, Shorbird would be in the top ten, 2006 YTD. Meanwhile, its a valuable contribution to the Ohio portion of the NGS database. -Paul- Edited June 2, 2006 by PFF Quote
+seventhings Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 holograph - Great work, as always. The maps are getting better and better. Will Quote
holograph Posted June 3, 2006 Author Posted June 3, 2006 Actually, Shorbird got his/her statistics the old fashioned way - by earning them. The statistics are based on the recovery date for the station, not on the date the report was submitted to the NGS. Anything that was recovered in 2005 is reported in the 2005 column, not in the 2006 YTD column. Quote
+PFF Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Thanks, Holograph. That makes it even more impressive--forty-eight recoveries per month! (Or, 1.6 per day.) -Paul- I recently noticed something about the "One A Day" vitamin that I take. Nowhere in the instruction phamplet do you find the recommended dosage. Should I alert someone? Quote
ArtMan Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 (edited) I add my kudos to shorbird, too. For the record, I did pretty well in 2002 and 2003 recoveries, but I didn't report them to NGS until long after the actual recovery. If shorbird had reported steadily rather than all at once, the achievement might not have seemed so meteoric, but the end results are the same. -ArtMan- Edited June 3, 2006 by ArtMan Quote
+GEO*Trailblazer 1 Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Way to go. I am not getting much lately...in fact the record speaks. Thanks for all the hard work. I am coming on though...been restin up ya know. Quote
