+Mom the Cook & cashnhubby
Do snail shell work for cache containers? If so, where would you hide one? I haven't seen one out caching. Quote Link to comment

+briansnat
I'm not sure how you'd keep the logbook dry, but it might be able to work. I guess I'd hide it somewhere snails go. Quote Link to comment
QuigleyJones
sure, why not? post a pic when you make it please. Quote Link to comment
+Wacka
There are two in my area and I have found one. They are "blinkies" (nanocaches) glued into snail shells. the blinkie is magnetic and that holds the shell on the structure. There were several real snails on the thing. I finally got an idea from the title and noticed the snail hadn't moved in two visits. Edited May 31, 2006 by Wacka Quote Link to comment
+MountainMudbug
That is a cool idea, and there are some fairly large snail shells around here, too. I wonder if you'd need to coat the shell with epoxy or something else to keep the shell from breaking? They can be pretty fragile sometimes... or maybe our snails are just the "soft-shelled" variety. I'm not going to taste test.... Quote Link to comment
+Mom the Cook & cashnhubby
Thanks for your info - now - I have got to find some a good snail. Here in Utah they are not very big but I guess any snail shell will probably do. Just need to place it where someone won't step on it. Quote Link to comment
