+Kacky Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 I'm supposed to be retired from radio, but now that it's easy & cheap to work from home, I do a little bit of freelance for a local AM news radio station. The news director is feeling a little burned out lately and did not want to try to fill all the newscasts for Memorial Day, so he basically just handed them over to me. 8 miinutes total airtime - an unprecedented luxury on commercial radio. I wasn't sure I could fill it, but when I got rolling, it turned out I had to leave things out! The station is already doing lots of great veterans' and memorial programming, so guess what I decided to tackle?? I also submitted it to the news page, for what it's worth. It's HERE if you'd care to listen. Quote
