+Whittling Fisher Posted May 24, 2006 Share Posted May 24, 2006 I used to use my Garmin yellow etrex and the serial connection to download waypoints from mapsource into the unit. I have been using the USB connection with my new GPS and have not used the serial connection in a while. Today, I decided to put some points into the etrex just as a backup, and Mapsource will not recognize the unit. When I click find unit, it says that some were found, but they do not have the requirments needed. I know that it has worked before, but for some reason is not working now. I have also installed Navigator, but that shouldn't be a problem since I am not tring to download maps. If anyone has had a similar problem I would appreciate some advice. Thanks.
