Sharing Waypoints Between Multis?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried and/or run into problems where you have placed separate multi caches but those mulits share waypoints for the intermediate steps?

These shared intermediate waypoints would direct the cacher to the next step depending on multi they are working on. Also, the guiidelines for cache saturation have been considered, except for these shared waypoints of course.

Any thoughts?

Also seem kind of pointless, since people who've done the first cache would know to just skip ahead to the point where the two caches diverged.

Guidelines are just guidelines and exceptions can be made. If you are the owner of both multis or the two owners can agree on how this is setup, I can't think of a good reason for it to be disallowed. If the .1 mile rule is for cache saturation, wouldn't having one container shared be two multis be less saturation than having two containers? I've though about hiding two multis along a hiking trail that would allow you to do the caches in either direction. They could share intermediate waypoints.
