+Wilson's WildHare Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 So whats up with that? Its our first cache, and according to Groundspeak, should be no more than 48-72 hours for review. We had a problem with listing additional waypoints, but that was cleared up 7 days ago. Being new to the game, should we expect that as normal? Our Administrator has been mum to our e-mails, what should we do?

We had a problem with listing additional waypoints, but that was cleared up 7 days ago. Being new to the game, should we expect that as normal? Our Administrator has been mum to our e-mails, what should we do? You did have an initial review within 48 to 72 hours, but without the Additional Waypoints, the review couldn't proceed further. I see that the Additional Waypoints have now been entered. Did you then send an e-mail to the reviewer, as instructed in his note on your cache page? This will alert him to take another look at your submission. If you did send an e-mail, then a reminder/follow up message would be appropriate at this time.
+Wilson's WildHare Posted May 1, 2006 Author Posted May 1, 2006 Thank you- This a.m. was my 2nd follow up...I realize he/they must be busy, but even 7 days since we made the updated changes seems excessive...We really want to be part of this community, we love caching and we don't want to get off on the wrong foot with the only reviewer in town. So is that lead time normal?
+Prime Suspect Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Thank you- This a.m. was my 2nd follow up...I realize he/they must be busy, but even 7 days since we made the updated changes seems excessive...We really want to be part of this community, we love caching and we don't want to get off on the wrong foot with the only reviewer in town. So is that lead time normal? Did you explain the reason for the email? Did you include the waypoint ID of the cache in your email, or even better, the URL to the cache page? I've found that email that doesn't force the recipient to do detective work gets a quicker response.
+Lasagna Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Did you post it as a "Reviewer Note" on your cache page? Some reviewers may not be making the connection between your note and the correction of the page. Also, are you sure the status on the cache is set to "active" (so that the reviewer sees it)?
Keystone Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 (edited) Did you post it as a "Reviewer Note" on your cache page? Some reviewers may not be making the connection between your note and the correction of the page. Also, are you sure the status on the cache is set to "active" (so that the reviewer sees it)? Please bear in mind that different reviewers follow different practices for follow-up communication. In this case, the reviewer gave instructions to contact him via e-mail, NOT by leaving a reviewer note on the cache page. It appears that the OP followed those instructions. And, the cache properly appears in the "on hold" queue -- it is active. EDIT: Even better, I see that the cache has now been published. Edited May 1, 2006 by Keystone
