+The Blind Acorn Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 See Czech, Psychochicken, Rhein-Nahe, Germany, World of Geocaching just to name a few. I'm just curious is this a result of the base metal used or is it just a cost savings? I've been kind of disappointed in the light-weight/feel of some coins. Feedback from the crowd is appreciated... +9Key Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 The Sheridan Kansas coin feels like its made from aluminum, but I don't have any of the coins you mentioned above. Quote
+Myth Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 I agree with you. But it's not true for all European coins... Depends on the manufacturer. Dutch 2005, Sweet Lake City and Team Myth 2006 to name a few are 'normal' coins, just like the ones you have in the US. Quote
+xfalcon1 Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 The Hoxie,kansas-Geoscouts coins was one i thought was very thin, also as you said the World of Geocaching coin. Quote

That's what I call a CQC! The ones from overseas are not poor quality necessarily though, many are just like 2MM thick and that kind of makes me disappointed in them sometimes too. The base metal is different too. Quote

+The Blind Acorn Posted April 24, 2006 Author Posted April 24, 2006 CQC? I wasn't saying they were cheap. They are nice designs, but I was disappointed in the thin coins... I guess I'm just used to the thicker, heavier ones here. Quote
+The Blind Acorn Posted April 24, 2006 Author Posted April 24, 2006 (edited) OOPS duplicate reply. Sorry. Edited April 24, 2006 by The Blind Acorn Quote
