Thin Coins? Are Coins Manufactured Or Sold Via Europe Thinner?

See Czech, Psychochicken, Rhein-Nahe, Germany, World of Geocaching just to name a few.

I'm just curious is this a result of the base metal used or is it just a cost savings?

I've been kind of disappointed in the light-weight/feel of some coins.

Feedback from the crowd is appreciated...

I agree with you. But it's not true for all European coins...

Depends on the manufacturer.

Dutch 2005, Sweet Lake City and Team Myth 2006 to name a few are 'normal' coins, just like the ones you have in the US.

The Sheridan Kansas coin feels like its made from aluminum, but I don't have any of the coins you mentioned above.

Heh, yeah. That's what I call a CQC!

The ones from overseas are not poor quality necessarily though, many are just like 2MM thick and that kind of makes me disappointed in them sometimes too. The base metal is different too.

Sweet Lake City went through Oak Coins.
