+Team_Talisman
Yesterday I found a cache, saw it needed a new log book so left it along with other stuff. Went to message or email the owner and he is listed as not validated... What happens to a cache like this, even though it is being supplied well by cring cachers... +Isonzo Karst
It will just stay on the site as long as no one logs an SBA (should be archived). And if the cache is doing okay thru community care, that may never happen. Quote Link to comment
+Kiamichi Muskrat
I keep wondering what an "unvalidated member" even is. Quote Link to comment
+welch
unvalidated means the email they supplied the website doesn't seem to be working. And thus the person supposed to be watching may be gone or have lost interest. When you sign up or change your email and new validation message is sent to the email, the person receiving the email has to follow the directions (clicking a link?) to get their account validated again. If your account is unvalidated your not supposed to be able to see cachepages etc since you don't have and valid account. Your account could also be unvalidated if emails sent to you from gc.com get returned/bounce. There are legit reason for this full inbox, or maybe just random problems, but since its usualy easy to validate again if they're account is unvalidated for long periods they're probably just totally gone. kmcnew
I ran across a cache like this. After attempting to contact the owner I wrote to ground speak about adopting the cache. After several days it was mine and I left the information from the original cache and just noted that it had been adopted. Quote Link to comment
