Garmin8888
As any one who as one of these great units used a 512 MB or a 1 GB Micro SD Card and any problems etc...? Quote Link to comment
Neo_Geo
I have the 60Cx, and just happen to have purchased SanDisk brand of both the 512MB and 1.0GB cards. I've had NO problems with either one. It's pretty sweet having the WHOLE EAST COAST loaded at one time - plus custom POIs and tracking on the card all at the same time. +Mike Fitz
No issues at all with a 512MB card. My laptop has a built in SD card reader, so I just pop it in with the SD adapter that came with the micro card and dl to it. Works out nicely, and much faster than hooking up the GPSr with a cable. -Oz-
Also no problems. Also, they're are a lot of threads about this. Time and time again its proven that they work, and work well. Quote Link to comment
Garmin8888
OK thanx, the reason I was asking is, in my first e-mail Garmin said that they don't support it only 128 and 256 MB so I told them about some Geocahchers are using the 512 & 1GB and the second e-mail back to me said they would like feed back....! I reckon that it is ok.....as how would they know I so it won't affect ones warranty)? Quote Link to comment

I thought I saw a thread about one type having problems with a 128 MB size. I have a 60CSX and my 1 GB card came in last night. This morning I swapped it out with the 64 MB card that came with the GPS and dropped most of the East Coast Topo maps on the 1 GB card with NO problems at all. Rick Quote Link to comment

+Enchanted Shadow
As any one who as one of these great units used a 512 MB or a 1 GB Micro SD Card and any problems etc...? I'm using a 76CSx with a SanDisk 1 GB card (with Garmin T/S's blessing). I experienced problems while the card was formatted for FAT-16. However, once the card was formatted as FAT-32, everything worked perfectly. Quote Link to comment
+rstickle
It's it the title olde boy! Same 1 as yours is East Coast Uk or Usa? Well, I did read the message, if not the title! East coast USA, plus the Los Angeles, CA area and the Tucson, AZ area, worked out to be about 1990 segments (maps) and about 450 MB. Rick Quote Link to comment
