+Prying Pandora Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 I'll go first! In Kent: Saturday, April 22 from 9 AM to Noon Kent's Upper Mill Creek CITO Event There is an additional opportunity to get in a little CITO at this month's WSGA-PS meeting on April 18: WSGA-Puget Sound Chapter APRIL Meeting Quote
+Allanon Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Since I don't seem to be going by any of the 'official' events that day on my travels, my plan is to just take a garbage bag or three and some gloves with me and CITO as I go, where ever that may be. Quote
+KKTH3 Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Wyoming has a CITO event listed as well for April 22nd. Quote

+1stimestar Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 We have major spring clean up day here towards the end of May. Before that it is still too wet from melting snow. After a whole winter of trash accumulation that gets stuck in the snow, there is a lot of trash. But it is fun and the whole town gets involved. You see people out as families, organizations, city officials, all out along side the roads. Street sweepers are out in force all week. It really brings a sense of community out. Quote
+Ambrosia Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Wenatchee's having our first ever CITO Event. Woo, hoo, thanks g-people! I'm sad to miss such an historical event, but I will be at the Fling, along with a quite a few other Wenatcheeites. But it looks like the turn-out for our CITO will be fairly good, and I know that they will have a good time Quote

See Prying Pandora's log a few posts above this. It's down South but that seems to be the most organized event for this weekend. We live up North... not to far to go for this event! Quote
Team Misguided Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 We are planning on the Kent CITO then on to the Spring Fling. You should try to hit one or both of those. All the cool cachers will be at one of the two events! Quote

Then it's a week's vacation in the Olympics, winding up at the Longview Cache Machine, with perhaps a side trip to the Original Stash Plaque outside Portland. Woo hoo! Quote
Cascade Reviewer Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 It's good to see all of the CITO events posted here for the NorthWest. Keep up the good work, everybody! Quote
+SweetSassyPants Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Can I ask a somewhat topical (and totally stupid) question?? My friend and I are arguing over the pronunciation of CITO. Is it, like SIT-O or like C-Toe? I know, I know! It's the action that counts not the pronunciation, but still I want to know who owes who a blizzard. And a hearty WELCOME to CascadeReviewer!! Quote
Team Misguided Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I've always pronounced it: Sea-Toe I think I deserve a blizzard!!! Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough or Georgia Mud Fudge, thank you. Quote
+Pasha Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Cee Eye Tee Oh. It's not a word! And I'm not Type A! Quote

And wanted to say again: Thanks everyone, esp. Prying Pandora and Gennysmom, for the best and most productive CITO I've participated in. Really feels like we made a difference! And I'm sure all the local stores are appreciative for the return of their shopping carts. [] Quote

If I'd known for sure you were going to be there, I'd have saved a special shoe I found at the CITO - but then I don't think the mouldy boot would have fit your dainty foot! Quote
