Jeremy Posted April 10, 2006 Share Posted April 10, 2006 Well, we're ending the Sunday evening logging experience and the web site has been running significantly faster over the weekend. The database itself is healther that it has ever been. We're not satisifed, however. Over the next couple of weeks we are adding some additional in-memory storage software to allow us to boost the response time even further. Our goal will be to reduce our Alexa speed measurement from at least 58% to 50% in the near term. It has already dropped several points since the update last week. Thanks again for everyone's patience over the difficult last few weeks when we were tracking down many of the issues that have since been resolved. Many of these fixes were long overdue. And a special thanks for those with premium memberships since they contributed to the machines and bandwidth in production that makes us one of the top 4,000 sites on the Internet in traffic. The traffic on Geocaching.com is close to matching Garmin and far exceeds Magellan. Link to comment
