The Geocacher University Coin

I just wanted to say "thanks!" to everyone who's picked one up so far.

If you haven't seen it yet, check it out here. The guys at the GeoCoin store did a great job of making my ideas come to life....er...come to metal anyway.

Price is $7.50. Custom icon and prefix (GU).

Thanks a bunch!

For those of you who have picked up the Geocacher University coin, the icon got turned on today. Hope you enjoy it.

There's is still one little problem on the coin listing. It's due to be fixed by Friday. Has anyone been observant enough to notice it?

Coins are still available on geocoinstore.com . As always, I appreciate your support.

I ordered and received 5 coins some time ago. This week when I went to activate the coins I discovered that the tracking numbers were EXTREMELY difficult to read. After almost an hour and many attempts to get a code for the possible letters/numbers on ANY one, I managed to activate one coin. I am using an extremely powerful magnifying glass, but the tracking numbers are so ill-defined that I've had to give up on the rest for now. I guess I could drop them into caches and let it be the finder's problem.

I think it's a quality issue. I had this problem on a couple of the Robert's Personal geocoins (from the same place). The laser engraving is very legible and deep on some coins and on others you could just barely make out the tracking number. Try looking at the tracking number from an angle.
