+MrGigabyte
March 2006 marked the beginning of the 5th year we have been producing Canadian geocaching geocoins. Our original coin was the first commercially available geocoin, and still is a very popular geocoin with tens of thousands of coin movement logs recorded. Our original coins were trackable at our web site years before geocaching.com allowed custom trackable items. As such, our original coins cannot easily be migrated to the relatively new GC coin tracking system that many cachers desire. As a result, we are pleased to announce the immediate availability of a our New Edition Canadian geocaching geocoin, which is indeed, trackable on geocaching.com, complete with its own icon. Our new coins are: 100% solid brass, plated with nickel and polished to a satin finish 37mm (1.5" diameter) Weigh 30 grams Coloured on both sides Epoxy coated to protect the award quality finish. Trackable at geocaching.com Custom Canadian icon Coins are priced at $9.50 USD each, plus shipping. We only take orders through our web site and we only accept VISA and MasterCard as payment options. These coins are shipped from Canada, and as such shipping charges are those based on international rates should the destination be outside of Canada. For more information, or to place an order, please visit www.geocoins.ca Thank you for your continued interest in our Canadian geocoins. Quote Link to comment

+mjp303
Is there a limit on the number of 2006 coins that will be minted? Quote Link to comment
Not So Lost Puppies
looks like they are like the originals... there is no year stamp on them. I would guess they make them until they decide it is time to change again in another 5 years or so Quote Link to comment
+HiDude_98
Paid for a couple too. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+nicolo
9.50 USD!? That's 11.07 Canadian at the current exchange rate!!! This cowboy ( Calgarian ) is passing. Quote Link to comment
+Zork V
Payed for one, would have liked more. Quote Link to comment
+Landsharkz
Nice looking coin Mr. G. Landsharkz were working on art designs for a 2006 Canada Geocoin a couple of months ago, but put it on the back burner when we heard this was coming out. How many are being minted or are they going to be available indefinitely? Quote Link to comment

+Icebreaker
My Question... Why US Dollars For Canadian Geocoin ??? Quote Link to comment
+Lazer
These are a bit higher than I expected, but I ordered 4. Quote Link to comment
+vds
The original Canada coins are still my favorites (slightly above the EU coin), sad to see them replaced with something that looks like many other coins out there. Edited April 8, 2006 by vds Quote Link to comment
+dogbreathcanada
My Question... Why US Dollars For Canadian Geocoin ??? Unbridled profiteering, of course. CA$11 for a single coin (and that's not even including the overpriced shipping) is ridiculous. Quote Link to comment
+dogbreathcanada
Is there a limit on the number of 2006 coins that will be minted? It's an unlimited mint and will continue to be pressed and sold as long as there are buyers. Quote Link to comment
+9Key
Too rich for my blood. Hopefully I can trade for one. Quote Link to comment

Don't let this coin stop you. There's no such thing as an Official Canadian Geocoin. Considering you have more reasonable prices (CA$2.00 less per coin) and shipping (CA$1.00 less) on your coins and far better designs, in a few months you should do a Canadian geocoin. No doubt it would be very popular. Quote Link to comment

We'll get our designs dusted off and back on the front burner . It will be beautiful and affordable. We've got a lot on our plate right now, but this cause is near and dear to us because we are very proud of the country we call home. We both emmigrated to Canada as children; we've lived on both coasts, central Canada and the prairies and we've visited most of the other provinces. We'll keep you posted. Quote Link to comment
