OpinioNate
Another recent addition among the updated features is the ability to add a simplified url to your category. Visit your category page and click "edit category". Fill in the field below the title with a simplified name (no spaces, underscores are ok) and you can visit the category page like this: http://www.Waymarking.com/cat/ghost_signs Choose wisely, as it cannot be changed after submitting. -nate Link to comment
+ChapterhouseInc
why is this our 'ability'? should this not be an automatic Groundspeak process? once the group is created and becomes popular--to some sort of standard--should this not be done by TPTB? and relegating it to the category name would be a good thing..... I agree. It should be done automatically in my opinion. Link to comment
+ibycus
I disagree. Sometimes the category name doesn't really make a great URL. Thinking of something like "Kentucky Historic Markers", wouldn't it be nicer to give it a short URL of KYHist, rather than having to call the URL "KentuckyHistoricMarkers" or "Kentucky_Historic_Markers". If a category is something you're really interested in, then you could easily get to know the simplified URL for it. Link to comment
