+Evil Chicken
Got this message when trying to view a cache page: An Error Has Occured The type initializer for "Geocaching.Geocache" threw an exception. I got the same thing! Link to comment
+Freth
It means they're having server problems and the web site can't read the database to gather info for the cache page. Link to comment
+Photom
Got this message when trying to view a cache page: An Error Has Occured The type initializer for "Geocaching.Geocache" threw an exception. Me too. Related to the database changes made today?? "The type initializer for "Geocaching.Geocache" threw an exception." is displayed for any cache I try to get to. Link to comment
+Xangxa
It must of just happened. I could access one cache and just a few minutes later I can't access any. But I can access my log entries from my profile page. Link to comment

+Boomer
Great!! I was right in the middle of planning my night caching run. Edited March 30, 2006 by Boomer and his Cache Bandits Link to comment
+the hermit crabs
I laughed at the wording when I got that error -- the only thing that would have made it better was if they had changed "an exception" to either "a fit" or "a tantrum". +RJFerret
I was baffled, saw page, wrote log, sent log, got that error on the page! Thankfully the log seems to exist and I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Hopefully we won't need to fall back on our backup cache info (you do keep it right?) Heh, Randy Link to comment
+Team Neos
We're doing updates to the site. patience. I am trying to be patient, really I am! It's just that I leave for a trip 600 miles from home early tomorrow morning. All weekend, the server kept stalling out while I was trying to look over cache pages. The two PQs I ran Monday night are missing logs, the one I tried this morning was the same. If I didn't have the cache pages in the PDA, and coords and maps already on the gps units, I would be in a complete panic right now. As it is, I am frustrated. I have never seen this kind of trouble with GC, and can only imagine how anxious you must be to get this fixed. I hope it falls together soon. Link to comment
Jeremy
Will you guys stop geocaching already? Sheesh. If you guys just don't use the web site so much it would start working better. (yeah. It's stressful. I more than anyone is tired of these server too busy errors). Link to comment
