How Do You Remove Maps From A Map60

i want to remove all the maps from my 60cx so i can upload a new set of maps. I can't find any reference to removing a map. turn it on turn it off. set up. what info is displayed. but nothing about removing.

I have a 64mb card in the 60cx so i should be able to put 120mb of info in the unit.( 64 from the card and the 56mb from the unit itself)

I don't know about the new units with the cards, but for the other Garmin units ( have the Vista and Vista C), the existing mapset is deleted in the same operation when you send the new mapset.

when uploading a new map it replaces the old map....... through maosource or img2gps

 

or you remove through explorer when the micro sd is in a cardreader; that is the only way to remove and having a empty micro sd card

Thats what i would think. Am i wrong in thinking that the card expands on the memory??

The original 56mb in the unit plus the 64mb of the card. 56+64=120

someone has probably already asked this. point me to the proper thread if someone will please.

I just tried to send 100MB of map data to my 60Cx (w/64MB card), and it said only 54MB was available for maps (I have some custom POIs and .gpx track files on the card). So, no - the internal memory is no longer accessible to the user.
