Large Geocoin Collection For Sale

ShowStop

Recommended Posts

I mentioned last week that I had a couple of geocoin collections to sell. Below is a complete list of all the coins that will be for sale. I'm making the first offering of the collection and of the coins to people here on the forums. If things go well, maybe none of the coins will ever see Ebay.

I have not listed any prices at this time because I'm looking for buyers interested in buying 1 each of all the coins. If you have an interest in buying the complete collection, please do so ASAP. If I am unable to find a buyer by early next week, then I will throw out OBO prices on all the coins and everybody can take a shot at individual coins.

I've got a few bids on the collection I'm considering right now. For those that are interested, I'm considering offers over $800 for 1 each of the coins listed above.

For those interested in coins that have multiples, please contact me. I won't be confirming any sales until next week, but it wouldn't hurt for to express your interest in a particular coin.

Asking prices for the individual coins will be posted on Monday.

All coins listed, with the exception of the FTF dance coin, are unactivated. I have several other activated coins which I am still holding onto at this time.

OK...coins will now be sold individually. My partner and I decided to pass on the collection offers. It seems to work out best for everybody anyways. Some coins have already been sold and I still have many more coins not listed here.

I'll try to update the list as often as possible and add in the missing prices soon. For those without a price...make me an offer, maybe I'll take it. Please use e-mail as primary contact. I don't always check PMs here in the forum. Paypal is available for payment.

Thanks everybody for the interest in the coins. I need to apologize for the delay in my responses. I was playing mechanic all day Saturday and was 4x4ing in the snow on Sunday. I did respond to all e-mails I had received on Saturday night (which was over 50) and I'm currently working through the e-mails from Sunday. Responses during the week will be much faster.

I'll have an updated list shortly. (Several more coins have sold out)

Since you oversold the coins by making us pay rather than invoicing and got my partial refund backwards, I sent you an email request for a full refund. It's not worth it to ship one coin. Thank you for your immediate attention

Sorry about that. I thought the math looked weird when I processed it. I sent you a full refund.

I love how this poster emailed me at 5:23 PM saying I had X number of coins and had 24 hours to pay. Then at 7:08 PM I receive another email stating I'm sorry but another order has come through, too bad for you. Not everyone is able to sit at their computers staring at email every second of the day. I'd have to say bad business practices generally leads to bad business and upset people. I'd beware of this one, folks...

I didn't get several coins that I'd wanted, some of them selling out between the time he e-mailed me and when I e-mailed back or paid, but I understand it's first come first serve with payment. ShowStop is dealing with a large volume of requests, and if he put every requested coin on hold till payment was made I'm sure the non-payments would drag the sale out much longer than he'd like. And it's an unfortunate thing, but not everyone pays for what they say they want, or will pay in a timely matter if they don't feel there's a rush.

It's ShowStops's sale, so if he chooses to say a coin goes to the first person who pays for it that's his decision. I missed some coins that perhaps I would have gotten if he'd held them, but I also probably got some that I wouldn't have if he'd held them for someone else. I just remind myself that maybe the person who got the coin I wanted will enjoy it more than I would have, or has a closer connection to it, and I did get a bunch and shouldn't be greedy. Besides, I'm over my geocoin budget anyway, so maybe I should thank the people who prevented me from buying more. :D

I was fortunate to get a lot of the ones I was looking for. I can see though if you only wanted 1 or 2 and missed them it would be disappointing.

My e-mail reply to Lazer's comment:

I'm doing my best to sell 250 coins of which there are 85 different types. Some people ask for prices and confirm their orders, others do not. I also get multiple confirmations at the same time. If I just had one type of coin to sell, this would be much easier, but I don't. I've processed about 200 e-mail requests and over 50 orders in the last 3 days. As much as I've tried to track all the outstanding requests, I just wasn't able to do so in all cases.

On my side, my first priority is to honor payments that I received. Since I had yet to get a response to my message, I sent a second e-mail with the update.

I offered these coins to the GC.com forums at reasonable prices to try to avoid E-bay. Now it seems like it would have been better to sell everything on e-bay to avoid all the hassles and let everybody pay those prices. No good deed goes unpunished.

I'm pretty upset I didn't get the Big Bear coin I've been wanting.

Lazer has not confirmed his interest in the Big Bear coin, so that one may still be available. If he does buy it, I have an activated coin in my personal collection that I'd be willing to offer to make up for my error. Let me know.
