GlobalRat
Geocaching has made the news again. There's 3/4 page article about GPS units and Geocaching on Page 8 of the Business section of this weeks Mail & Guardian (March 10 to 16 2006/Vol 22, No 10). Quote Link to comment

vespax
Goofster mentioned that he was contacted by them a few weeks ago. Perhaps this is the article that he was referring to. I shall mention it to him tomorrow when we (Cape Town geocachers) get together for another fun filled day of finds/placements. Quote Link to comment

Whostops
The journalist contacted me 2 weeks ago. I think "Geocacher.co.za referred him to me. I did ask him to contact Globalrat to get some decent Stats for RSA. Any exposure can only be good for the sport. Quote Link to comment

Goofster
Yes indeed, I did receive a mention. I had hoped he would concentrate more on the activity of geocaching rather than carping about the price of GPSr's, although he did have some valid points. Hope it doesn't make Avnic think twice about sponsoring some goodies for the CITO, although they're maintaining an ominous silence on that topic . . . Quote Link to comment

GlobalRat
Excellent article, so much more informative and inspiring than the M&G attempt. Must agree. A good representation of Geocaching. Pity we never get to see a decent pic of Helga I could only find one fault... but it is a general complaint I have with many magazines so not really worth mentioning. Nice to see the publicity GC is getting, and I certainly know of many muggles that have come to ask me more detailed questions as they know I run around like a madman in the bush doing "treasure hunting" with my GPS thingey...... Good on D-Bobs mom. Quote Link to comment
QFC
Oh, I thought Discombob said something about the Country Life, I couldn't find the post, anyways, I scanned the images in for anyone who hasn't been able to see the article.
