+Douglas_Clan
Going to be there this weekend, around downtown. Any absolute must do caches ? Quote Link to comment
+markta
Hi Douglas_Clan, when I had a short time to cache in Portland, these two were my favorites: Eye of the beholder (actually in Centralia! oops!) and One For the Little People. Enjoy your visit! --markta Edited March 8, 2006 by markta Quote Link to comment
+blindleader
The Contact Cache You'll be doing extremely well to solve the puzzle by this weekend, but it's worth it. Quote Link to comment
ahlenator
I'm new to geocaching, and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to find a specific type of cache (i.e. more of a hike, vs. one in a city) Quote Link to comment
+yumitori
You want to head over to the Portland Geocaching site and check out the recommended caches there. They have them broken down both by area and by the type of cache (best puzzles, best scenery, best for families, etc.) something we have found to be very useful on our trips there. The site up from my point of view. At least now it is.... The list of caches seems to be broken; I'll have to send DenaliNW a note about that. It also needed more contributions. Guess we just look ilke slackers today.... If I may be so bold to suggest our Poetry In Motion cache; it seems to get a lot of traffic from travelers. It's is right next to one of the biggest and best bookstores anywhere. Quote Link to comment
+Navdog
One For the Little People. Have to second that one for sure. Actually, the park and I suppose the cache has been temporarily moved. Edited March 12, 2006 by Navdog Quote Link to comment
+Stump
One For the Little People. Have to second that one for sure. Actually, the park and I suppose the cache has been temporarily moved. It's been a while but I thought the (virtual) cache took you to a sign on the sidewalk rather than the actual park (a few feet away). Which would mean the virtual is still technically there though not nearly as cool as usual. Quote Link to comment
