The response was incredible...so C4 paid for and ordered the coins. The coins have been received but only a few orders have been received...nothing like the verbal pre-orders. Please support bikedog and his family by purchasing the coins that you said you were interested in....or please purchase even if you did not. The coins are beautiful and hefty...bikedog memorial coin And last but not least thanks to all of you who have purchased coins. PS C4 did not ask me to post this...However, I know that he is worried because the coins are not selling...and he was hoping to raise money for the family. Quote Link to comment

Not only is this a very nice coin, it is going toward a great cause. Come on collectors, do as you committed to do an purchase your coins. We are a community and we need to prove that now. Triffid If you go back and look at C4's post you will see that there is only 1 of the Brass (Gold) not for sale. And there were only 10 Silver ones to be set aside for auction. My interest in elongated pennies led me to discover geocoins online, and that is what got me into caching in the first place! I just love the unique idea of replicating the smashed penny into a real coin. This coin is not thin like the smashed penny, it is thick. It is one of my favorites! Then I sent out a bunch of e-mails to friends to get them to log my coin.
