...Garmin's ONLY handheld with expandable memory at the time I bought it (I just gotta have mapping!)

...My 1st unit - LOVED IT! But 8MB proved to be its Achilles Heel with me. Bought the eMap® a few months later

iQue 3600®

...Just not what I'd hoped it would be. Battery life sucked, couldn't see tracks and couldn't easily plot waypoints.

of course I had a dream the other night and was out caching, found a used garmin in a cache that someone didn't want anymore,... I figured GREAT I hava a backup... then my alarm clock woke me up... Darn...

Wow, you've had a dream about finding a used GPSr in a cache too? I own an eXplorist 100 and an eXplorist 400. The 100 has been retired and is sitting in a drawer in case of emergency. GOT GPS, I think this is going to be a great survey of the geocacher market for GPS receivers. Not a scientific survey by any means, but you're gonna get pretty cool results. will probably spring for one of the x units aftre they have matured a bit and I get some more use out of my 60cs - I figure I'll keep it another year and then see what's out there. For what it's worth, I absolutely love it - if it held a lock better in the trees I'd just keep it forever. I WISH I could just add the sirfstar III to the unit I have - not that much of a gearhead that I have to have the latest greatest, just want a better lock in the forest.

I've been keeping the Vista for a backup GPSr, but since the Vista C is so reliable, even after "flying" off a mountain and dropping 200 feet, I think the Vista might soon get listed for sale in the Garage Sale Forum.

My only complaint about the Garmin 60CS was the reception issue and the expandable memory, and Garmin took care of that with the 60CSX. All is well now, and I have a couple of Magellan's for sale...............
