+TheBeanTeam
The State of Oregon like other states has official historic markers throughout the state. I would be interested in helping with group management or ownership of this sub-category. Variables could include: Designation number, (ie, P13 or T4) http://www.oregon.com/history/oregon_histo...rkers_coast.cfm Url to the specific markers page on the web http://www.oregon.com/history/hm/bannock_war.cfm region in which the marker is located http://www.oregon.com/history/oregon_historical_markers.cfm A link to the information required for placing a waymark could be included on the more info/waymark placement page for easy research. +Volcanoguy
Yes, I would support this one and could probably help with management if need be. There is also a need for a category for local historical society markers. I know our local Deschutes County Historical Society has quite a few markers and signs and other counties or cities probably do also. Link to comment
+TheBeanTeam
Oregon Historic Markers will go live today. The state of Oregon only has around 100 "official" monuments so we are opening up the category to all historic markers inside the state. Special thanks to Volcanoguy for the ideas. As a history buff I am looking forward to learning more about the area I call home. Kudos to Groundspeak for where we are today and for what tommorow promises to bring. Thanks.
