Aberdeen Sd Geocaches

We are carpooling to the State Youth Bowling tournament in Aberdeen in April. I won't have my own vehicle. Are there any geocaches within walking distance of the bowling facilities? (I do NOT know my way around town!) Thanks for the help.

Aberdeen is a wasteland of nothingness, you will be lucky to find running water

I would recommend trying to find the UFO geocache, or Ladrone (if you are in the mood for a trek--I am partial to this one I used to mow the area for my great-uncle who placed the cache).

As far as walking goes-- the "growing paper" or "presentation view" caches are probably your best bet. Nothing really close to the bowling alley that I know of, though, unless there is one at the golf course.

Actually, there are several that are within walking distance of the Bowling Alley. There is the "Midland Cache" - great cache for travel bugs, the "XII"- micro just a few hundred feet from the bowling alley, and just a half mile or so down the bike trail are the "Aberdeen Mystery I" - a multi cache, and the "Adam Cache" another micro that is fairly new (and well hidden).

 

Those are all within an easy walk of the bowling alley. There are several others, "Growing Paper", "Presentation View" that are certainly walkable, but would be a bit more of a jaunt.
