Scarlet Begonias

That's my mother's favorite song. Her motto while I was growing up... if you can't beat 'em join 'em. She learned to love a lot of the music I blared on my stereo.

There's a hint in the original question.

email sent since I can't play here <_<

Okay, bonus contest question: What's my favorite song performed by the Grateful Dead?

Cymbaline, Arlsdaddy and Arlsmommy (or anyone related to them, lol) are exempt from participation. Everyone else above and who has yet to join in can guess. 1 guess a day please.

First correct guess gets a SYF regular Antique Brass version. This one is trackable with PC icon.

How about the song Liberty?

Boy I need a life! I am doing this on a Saturday night! Oh well!

Psssst, it's Sunday. (yeah, I know the holiday tomorrow threw ya off  )

Thanks for compiling the list!

Pssst, I heard a rumor there may be similar contests on wannagocrew.com very soon that involve 2006 johnnie lacy coins. Just thought I'd mention it since he called earlier to ask if he could steal this idea. The contests are open to all by the way.

Well, I just got back from Dallas, and I drove through Deep Elem. You still have to hide your money in your shoes in case anyone is wondering.

This is a fun game. I wish I would have found this post sooner, but I was stuck in the DFW airport.

So many choices...... I'm going to guess 'The Monkey and the Engineer" written by Jesse Fuller, but frequently covered by the Dead. That's my favorite one they perform. It's also one of my favorite songs to perform. On a side night, I'm always excited to share that my acoustic guitar (the one that I keep locked up and don't let anyone touch), was designed by Bob Weir of the Dead.

So does tommorow start 24 hours from the stamp of the question, or 24 hours from my response?

I think Monkey & the Engineer is a fun song, but truthfully, it doesn't even make my top 10 --- 4 songs mentioned so far in this thread do tho... Sugar Mags, Brown Eyed Women, Black Muddy River and Morning Dew. Good guess tho. It means you interpreted the hint correctly.

The time stamp of MY original post for the first contest is the official next day. So technically one could make a guess a minute before and a minute after and qualify
