+wizard1974uk Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 Hi folks, Just to let you know that I have now ordered a GPS Unit, the unfortunate thing the model I have ordered is out of stock, so going to have to wait a little while for the order to be processed. I have gone for the Garmin eTrex and I've also signed up for premium membership, so now it seems I have to make a go of this hobby even though I haven't started yet. I might set up a blog detailing the adventures of a virgin geo-cacher. Quote
+HazelS Posted February 17, 2006 Posted February 17, 2006 I'd get out now before you get too hooked!!! Quote

A Wizard's Staff has a knob on the end!!!.......... at least, it does according to Terry Pratchett All of which has absolutely nothing to do with geocaching.. sorry Quote

Deego Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 (edited) Its a good unit, You don't need to wait for the cable, you can enter coords in manually until the cable arrives, the cable just cuts down on errors typing them in Tip 1) If your not sure of the area don't forget to way mark your car before you leave it Tip 2) start with easy cache (1 or 2 difficulty) Tip 3) Enjoy the hunt wow post 3000!!! must get out more Edited February 22, 2006 by Deego Quote
