+scooby scrappy and mp
Can anyone help me I am looking at purchasing a Garmin Streetpilot i3 for my car, can anyone tell me if i would be able to download the cache's as points of interest from GUK filedown load web site, and if the memory card at 256mb would have the storage space to take the caches should it be possible. Tom tom is not a option for me really as its more costly. Michelle Quote Link to comment
+rutson
GC:UK does not provide Garmin POI loader, however I'm 90% sure GPSbabel can now convert to this new format. As a last resort I have a method using excel to make the correct files. As for the storage, I've haven't actually handled one, but I have helped get all caches in the manchester area onto one, proably in the order of 100. I'd be suprised if you couldn't get the whole of the UK on there, but I cannot be 100% sure. Quote Link to comment
+rutson
I can now confirm GPS babel (and therefore GSAK) can export in the right format to load into Garmin POI loader. Quote Link to comment

There is more than enough room to fit the entire UK database on an i3 - there's room for ten of thousands of entries. Just remember that this unit will only get you to the nearest road, as it has no handheld off-road features. Quote Link to comment
+scooby scrappy and mp
Thanks for info have downloaded Gsak and file download from GUK its a brilliant piece of software without the streetpilot so well worth posting the request anyway (been playing with the data most of the night). May need to come back to you when I have the streetpilot if I get stuck on the download. Phil Quote Link to comment
