I am fairly new to Geocaching but am already hooked . My question is does anyone know if there is a way to download waypoints to DeLorme Street Atlas, if so how. Any help woudl be greatly appreciated. Thanks and keep cacheing

I use GSAK to get the waypoints to Street Atlas. GSAK has an export function that makes this easy work.

Thanks for the info SirElmo. Checked it out and it is a neat program. What I was wanting to do is add the waypoints to the street atlas I have on a laptop that I use in the car. Got any idea's on how to download them there?

Use GSAK to make a Street Atlas text file and then go into Street Atlas, click on the draw tab, click on file and load the text file that you made in GSAK.

You can also download gpsbabel at www.gpsbabel.org and use the following command from a batch file

gpsbabel -i gpx -f unfound.gpx -o an1,deficon="Geocache",zoom=13 -F "C:\Program Files\StreetAtlasMaps\DeLorme Docs\Draw\unfound.an1"

 

Change the red unfound.gpx to the name of your gpx file. You can also add another file but putting in another -f NameofGPXfile.gpx after the one listed above. This is an easy way to combine gpx files for use in Street Atlas

The part that people may be missing is that you need to get the waypoints from Geocaching.com through Pocket Queries. Then you can open the GPX files in GSAK and do an export to a format that Street Atlas will understand (or use GPSBabel).
