15 Minute Charger And Batteries

Recommended Posts

Just bought the 15 minute I-c3 charger and batteries from radio shack. Does anyone have any opininion on these batteries eg. how long they hold a charge, how many charges they will take before failing.

Here is a link to the best batteries and chargers. When using rechargables I would buy the best batteries

and chargers especially for my GPS. Why have a top notch GPS and use cheap batteries. Makes no sense

to me. http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/BATTS/BATTS.HTM

I have some of the orginal 2000mAh Ray-O-Vac cells and the 15 minute charger for them from two and a half years ago. I use them fairly regularly and they've performed better than any other rechargable batteries I've ever had. If they were cheaper, I'd own more. :( A good companion is the Ray-O-Vac 60 minute charger--Radio Shack may sell a rebrand of that as well, I'm not sure. The 60 minute charger does a good job on any cell that will fit into it--in about an hour. :)

I bought everready 15 minute charger and some 2300's a couple of weeks ago. Then bought some duracell 2500's. Recharge time has been as advertised and haven't changed the batteries yet and did alot of caching and navigating the last week with a Legend cx. Little experience but lmpressed with the products.

I've had the Rayovac 15-minute rechargable batteries now for a while and I find them to be excellent. My GPSmap 60CS can run off one set of batteries all day with the compass turned on. They really do charge in 15 minutes and I haven't noticed any degradation in how long they last. The only downside is that they do lose their charge if you let them sit around for a few weeks but this is hardly a problem since you can recharge them in 15 minutes!
