+Alibags Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) Inspired by a topic on the general TB forums that I read a while ago, I was wondering what the biggest and the smallest TB extremes were that had been seen in the UK. I have personally handled these two - Bert and The Captains Log (which looks like a good idea nicked from somewhere close to home! ) and here's my own tiny TB - Titchy Mini Any more Extremely BIG or small TBs out there? Edited January 23, 2006 by Alibags Quote
alistair_uk Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 The biggest I have come across is, err, Danny. You would also have trouble placing Dezi's Bugging You and Jessie Bug . Quote
+Alibags Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 okay, perhaps I should be been more clear... I meant travelling TBs, excluding dogs, people and Pyoung1s extensive collection of vehicles! Quote

Deego Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 okay, perhaps I should be been more clear... I meant travelling TBs, excluding dogs, people and Pyoung1s extensive collection of vehicles! oh poo, thought I was going to be the winner Quote
+Alibags Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) Of course you are Deego but not of the biggest inanimate TBs and you would not want to win the smallest either, I think! Come on, there MUST be some more out there? The ones I am aware of cannot be the only ones? Edited January 23, 2006 by Alibags Quote
+The Klever Boys Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I recall reading about a full sized bowling ball that had been turned into a TB. I'll see if I can track it down on the site! Quote
+The Blorenges Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I remember seeing one on a USA forum thread which was a complete American public 'phone box unit.... It was about 2' x1'x1' overall. I think there's also a large "breeze block" in circulation, too. MrsB Quote
+aRRKS Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 We've seen one like the Titchy Mini, except without the mini - it was just the numbered part of the TB The biggest was The Happy Habanero. 4 or 5 plastic jalapeno peppers joined together. Quote
Moss Trooper Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Well I'm going to nominate Leggs cos he is rather large and is a bug and a bonifid traveler.. Not that he has been seen over the last year or so.. Moss T Quote
+sTeamTraen Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I remember seeing one on a USA forum thread which was a complete American public 'phone box unit.... It was about 2' x1'x1' overall. +dogastus Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 This one was part of a tram line and was quite big and heavy: Rillenschiene Quote
+KiwiGary Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 The smallest I ever heard of was one that came from Germany. It hit a cache in Milton Keynes, but then disappeared. Which was shame. Anyway the TB is only a TB tag that you could fold in half, it had been cut and then had hinges added to it. It could fit into a 35mm container!! Sorry no TB page, just remember it. See ya....Gary Quote
+Alibags Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 Shame most of these are in the USA Quote
+Us 4 and Jess Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I am most upset that Ali has banned Danny bug Dezi bug and Jessie bug from competing ........seeing as two of the three belong to us lol M Quote
+MeIsMook Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Yankee Clipper is smallest TB I've had hold of also the one with the most miles for me too Quote
+badger Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I saw one TB (think it was called micro TB) which was just the tracking number from the TB tag. It was designed for micros only. Matt Quote
+Happy Humphrey Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 (edited) Minibug fits inside a micro container but pops out to startle the unwary geocacher... HH Edited January 24, 2006 by Happy Humphrey Quote
+bargee Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 (edited) Hendrikis the biggest i have seen and was a pain as pieman complained to leave in a cache Edited January 24, 2006 by bargee Quote
+bargee Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 sorry, got the image to life size as well!!!!! Quote
+HazelS Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 (edited) Biggest TB I've had is Cave Troll and Eyore's house - Pennijar Cottage!! (good job I never had to get it into a cache!) Edited as I don't seem to be able to type today! Edited January 24, 2006 by HazelS Quote
+Alibags Posted January 24, 2006 Author Posted January 24, 2006 Like that spider, it's great! I think my own Titchy Mini is smaller than any of those show thus far (pride). I had wondered how many people are dissuaded from taking the big bugs. Bert does not seem to travel very quickly, and he's a lovely bug, and The Captains log has been seen and giggled at, but not moved since I placed it. Okay, so it may be suitable only for a cache near where you can draw a car up, but I thought it was a giggle. Quote

There is also Cindy as well - she seems to have her own fan club! Done a few miles too Quote
+Haggis Hunter Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 This is the largest TB I have found, and although I haven't handled it, this is the smallest TB I have seen. Quote
+little-miss-naughty Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 i have to admit im the owner of a rather large tb (King Arthur with Horse) a lot of people who pick him up have trouble getting rid of him as he dosnt fit in many caches. i tryed to make it a bit easier by allowing him to sepparate from his horce an lance but people still have trouble with him. think he should win the prize!!!!! Quote
+Alibags Posted January 24, 2006 Author Posted January 24, 2006 No prize but thanks for sharing!! Quote
+maxkim Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Hi there, heres one that smaller.... Not So Jolly Roger by Zelgar. The original TB tag has been rolled to fit in a 35mm pod. MaxKim. Quote
team tisri Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Inspired by a topic on the general TB forums that I read a while ago, I was wondering what the biggest and the smallest TB extremes were that had been seen in the UK. I have personally handled these two - Bert and The Captains Log (which looks like a good idea nicked from somewhere close to home! ) and here's my own tiny TB - Titchy Mini Any more Extremely BIG or small TBs out there? I think the biggest I've seen is one of the cache flags. I also picked up a figure about 12 inches tall from a cache in the US, not considering that round London there aren't many caches big enough to take such a bug. The smallest I've seen was just the tag. Apparently it was supposed to be that way. Quote
Sparticus Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Second cacher to have hold of this http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=89165. It is VERY SMALL INDEED. Quote
