+slimey Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Many apologies for posting in english - my spanish is extremely basic! I will be visiting Madrid next month with work, and staying in a hotel in Alcobendas. I have a spare day (Saturday) during which I would like to do some caches (and hopefully drop off some travelbugs from the UK), and with luck see some of Madrid. Can anyone recommend some caches for me? I will not have a car, so will it be easy for me to get around (particularly from Alcobendas)? Many thanks, Simon Quote

+slimey Posted February 12, 2006 Author Posted February 12, 2006 Many thanks for your recommendations. I returned from Madrid last night. It was a successful trip for caching. I found two caches in Alcobendas - "Alcobendas Valdelasfuentes cache" and "Alcobendas Pink Floyd tribute" - both about a mile walk from the hotel I was staying at. In Madrid itself, I found "Madrid, just a walk", "Madrid, when you are there" and "Retiro Park". It was unfortunate that the Retiro Park cache was surrounded by human excrement which made it unpleasant to find - but I guess there's not a lot you can do about that. I was just about to do "Ratón Pérez S.A." (Columbus Egg one) when my Palm ran out of battery, so I was unable to get the clues for the multi. Thanks for the caches! Simon Quote
