+OldFrenchy
I just ordered a Garmin M5 and want to download Topo! (National Geographic) maps into it. Are these maps compatible with the M5? It would only be for locating my position when driving off-road, not to route with. Anybody have some experience and good advice on this model? Thanks- OldFrenchy Quote Link to comment
+Night Stalker
You will need to buy Garmin Software for your Garmin hardware Quote Link to comment
+Alan2
I use a regular PPC (HP iPaq) with it's own GPS in the CF slot. That allows me to place my NG Topo maps in the PPC so I can see my position. Quote Link to comment
jbclimber
You will need to buy Garmin Software for your Garmin hardware This is not true. You can use National Geographic Pocket Topo on the Ique M5. It works just fine for showing your position. However, I find the M5 screen hard to read in the outdoors. Quote Link to comment
