Ok so here is the update!

We noticed yesterday after some coins had been mailed that the coins have an error in the coloring on them. The minter has been great in getting this situtation resloved.

We are getting the coins reminted to be correct. So no more coins will be mailed out until the new coins get here in about 2 weeks.

Sorry about that.

For those of you that already have or are about to get the coins. If you want me to mail you the corrected coin then you need to email me with the tracking numbers and metal type of the coins you have. Please do this within the next 2 weeks. parentsofsamNOSPAMatgmail.com

I am very sorry about this! I hope no one is too upset about the whole thing.

I got it. Can I keep the mistake? I kinda like the way it adds to the "history" of the coin.

You can keep the mistake if you would like to. :P I like your view that it adds to the history of the coin.

minting errors or printing errors on currency make them more valuable and rare.

So by all means, replace everyone elses coins so that my 2 coins become more valuable! Woo Hoo!! Woo_Hoo.gif

PoSAM,

You might consider removing the tracking on the mistakes and dropping them into caches as regular sig items (with notes about them no longer being trackable)

(I think Kilted cacher was doing that with some of his mistake coins)

[i'll take one for making the suggestion :anibad:]

Dateline NY - March 1, 2106

A rare ParentsofSam geocoin was auctioned off today for the record sum of $23,000,000,000 North American dollars. The geocoin had a defect in the minting process which resulted in flesh-toned bangs on one of the girls depicted. Only three of these coins are known to have survived, the other two are in museums.

Received my replacement coin with the propper colored bangs today. Coin looks really good. Also received a surprise with the package. It was a POS pin. The pin is an exact replica of the coin except the girls' heads are flipped around. Very nice to send those along. Thanks
