+Thatsit
I just got a new iPAQ hx2495 PDA and I am trying to set it up for geocaching. Can anyone tell me or walk me through the programs I can download to get this thing up and running? I am LOST. I loaded GPXVIEW and don't understand it, same thing with iSilo and GPXSonar. I don't know if it is just my dumb ways or the Mobile 5 Version not cooperating with me. Someone please help me out. I have also ordered a ONCOURSE GPS Receiver along with MS Trips and Streets 2006. HELP ME PLEASE......Thanks, Bill...... Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I think you'll get more assistance with the helpful experts in the GPS Units and Software Forum, so I am moving your thread over to there. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
+PocketSierra
Another program to try is BackCountry Navigator, which I work on. But first, where are you getting stuck? Do the software programs seem to work? Are they failing to find the GPS? Some WM5 devices have changed how they list the serial ports, which caused some GPS software to fail, including BackCountry Navigator at an earlier time. Quote Link to comment
+gcslim
Read this thread to get in with the Smache beta. It's an all-in-one Pocket PC geocaching application that provides full paperless and GPS navigation and also has some good ties to Streets and Trips (Pocket Streets). Works with WM5.
