qwertynot
If I find an item that I really like but do not have anything of similar or higher value on me, is it Ok as far as etiquette is concerned to leave some cash behind instead? Thanks in advance for any answers. Quote Link to comment
briansnat
Its not the preferred method, but I don't think anyone is going to drag you out of bed and tar and feather you for doing it. I do know people who exclusively leave Wheresgeorge bills so if they see something nice they will leave a bunch. Quote Link to comment
BlueDeuce
I've seen people leave 20 bills. of course it's while I'm caching with them and I can't just reach in and grab it for my trade. Quote Link to comment
Les Nomades
Did leave once, one canadian dollar for a canadian quarter and gave it to a kid I know who collects them. Edited January 18, 2006 by Nomade Quote Link to comment
hikergps
I left one of these, but mostly because you don't see them much in the states. Can't remember what I took in exchange. Quote Link to comment
Sputnik 57
Cachers hereabouts sometimes leave Sacajawea dollars and I've seen a few of the new buffalo nickels lately. I sometimes come across caches with spare change, but not too often. As Brian said, not the preferred swag, but not impermissible. Edit: That $2 Canandian is a cool coin! I'd love to come across one of those. Edited January 18, 2006 by Sputnik 57 Quote Link to comment
