Parrolet Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 (edited) Very cool! I like it. Will they sale all at one time or spaced different times? Or be sold as a set? Edited January 15, 2006 by Parrolet
+Team Maddie UK Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Billy this coin is a must have!!! Count me in
gridlox Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I'm gonna have to take on a second job to be able afford all these cool coins that you guys keep putting out!! I definately want these!! D-man
+AtlantaGal Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Sweet! Hurry up Billy! I want these now! T1 Ahh, how about delivering a coin version before embarking on another one, lol!
+GEO*Trailblazer 1 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Hey................ You stole my idea. Thanks..
+robert Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Like it! Could you make it in February though? My January budget is just about tapped out.
+BackBrakeBilly Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 Sweet! Hurry up Billy! I want these now! T1 Ahh, how about delivering a coin version before embarking on another one, lol! Don't worry AG, we have everything under control. The Tennessee Micro Coins are do to ship to us next week, The Phone-A-Friend coins are do to go to the mint the minute the preorders are closed and this the latest of our adventures will be a early February project. And not to mention we found over 300 caches and placed over 20 in the last two weeks! Did I mention, We love this game?
+Blind Avocado Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 What a great idea! I'm in for one set!
+AtlantaGal Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 (edited) Okay, I didn't know when we'd see the micro coins or that this project wouldn't be solicited until February. My bank account won't accept another week like this last one and I am sure many others are in the same boat. I just hope those who plan on minting coins realize that these things need to be spaced out a little bit or people simply won't be able to buy any. Of course if I win the lottery, all bets are off Edited January 15, 2006 by AtlantaGal
+mohr11 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 We love puzzle caches, so count me in for one set.
+Super_Nate Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 NOW THIS IS REALLY COOL!!!!!! I will have to get a set of this!
+Chaos A.D./aka Arlsdaddy Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 (edited) I know of a coin that has been in the works for some time now, don't know if it will be made. Similar to this one, but 1 coin not 4. Problem is, I think it was called the puzzle cache coin also! I'll have to talk to him, maybe it can be changed I don't think it has been sent to the mint. (I have seen preliminary work of it, I feel it is very different). But again, similar idea. BTW I can't wait for this one (Or 4)! Edited January 15, 2006 by Chaos A.D./aka Arlsdaddy
+IceCreamMan Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I HATE PUZZLE CACHES!!!!!! Like the coins though.
+Crowesfeat30 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Wow!! cool idea. I'm in for a set! CF30
+Marky Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Hmmm, I approached Groundspeak with a similar idea and they told me very specifically that I couldn't break apart the logo into pieces. Maybe I should start using the policy I used to use when I worked in government: "It's easier to ask for forgiveness that it is to ask for permission." --Marky

They seem to change their minds a lot when it comes to geocoins. Hope it works out for you.
Blodlizrd Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Awesome idea!!! I would have to get a couple of sets. One to keep and one to place in each leg of a 4 part multi-puzzle as an FTF prize.
+Evil Chicken Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Definitely interested in a set and will be watching with interest!
+KSWader Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 When you start taking pre-orders, 1 would like one set. This would be the perfect for a geocache that I am currently working on placing!
+Lazer Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Awesome coin and idea. Ohh man these coins are getting to be costly, though...

Since you're only paying for 1 tracking code (vs 4) it will likely be a better price point.
+WWC-World's Worst Cacher Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I think this is one of the cooest ideas I have seen.
+Hula Bum Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I think a lot of people have been working on similar designs. We were looking at doing a 1 coin/9 piece set that fit together as well. Problem was that it was going to take 9 individual dies to do it. Can we assume this coin will be roughly $8 per piece?
+Marky Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 All 4 coins will be individually trackable on GC.com with a new icon for the complete puzzle. Might be interested in this one as well. Since you're only paying for 1 tracking code (vs 4) it will likely be a better price point. It looks to be like each one is individually tracked, not 4 with the same number. --Marky

I wasn't responding to that one though.

ParentsofSAM Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Wow you all are really churning out the coins.....this one is pretty cool I would buy a set for sure!! But you better watch out you might get your links removed by the geocoin mods for being too commercial like neilsenc and cachehunters42 did. Ya'll have quite the little coin business going on.

If it is a business, I highly doubt gc would allow for their logo to be used (unless some business arrangement is made). Edited January 15, 2006 by Rupert2
hirlas Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 what qualifies it as a business? Release 3 coins a month? 2 coins? There are lots of people making coins and profiting without a "business" name. I can see this series is going to be poular, maybe minting 500-1000 "sets"... do you think Groundspeak will say no to $1.50 per tracking number/coin on that one?
+GBOTS Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Nice coin What will the price be and will they sell one at a time or will they only be available as a set?
+Hale-Storm Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 (edited) I definitely would be interested in a set. Edited January 15, 2006 by HaleGang
+HiDude_98 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Awesome!! Count me in for one of each ( at least ). I would love to drop these into the very difficult puzzle caches I have done here in Austin to help get others into solving puzzle caches Great idea! -paul HiDude_98

+Fundamental Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I was planing to make puzzle/mystery coin also someday. You got first and it's really nice!
+mytfine65&geogal Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Wow!! These look great. Count us in for a couple of sets. Thanks
+Kealia Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Did I miss the cost or has that not been answered?
