Gunslinger57
Hey how about race tracks for those of us who are racing fans, if you go to a track you make a waypoint and then share the track with everyone else. If you plan it right you get to find the place and get to watch the races Link to comment

+Ed Rad
I think race tracks would be a great catagory. There are lots of little local tracks all over the country that would be neat to visit and learn about. Allowing the major tracks (Daytona, Darlington, Indy etc...) would be a nice addition. Horse and/or dog tracks can or should be a separate catagory IMHO. Link to comment

There are tracks all over the world, Silverstone England, Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, etc and so on. JDandDD Link to comment
+chstress53
Goodness JDandDD I see your on that kick again. Under the present way to get Categories to be accepted usually the owner of the idea proposes an idea as Gunslinger57 did. And then we all chime in on what we all think of the category as it was proposed suggesting ideas etc. Big deal; so Special Ed used the word Country in offering his support and ideas. If you have a better idea post that instead of your agenda. If the Category is accepted the owner of the category which would most likely be Gunslinger and TPTB would decide the variables. AND remember he proposed a CATEGORY for RACE FANS He did not in any way make it country specific. Link to comment
+JDandDD
Its still a legitimate request for clarification since all of the examples given were US stockcar tracks. I would ask that you see the requests for clarification as that and a way of asking people to be sure they are thinking broadly about categories that have no reason to be limited. That goes for anyone, not just Americans. For example, there's no reason to make something specific to my country, Canada, if it can just as easily be more broadly defined so that all can share in the category. I am not anti-American, far from it actually and genuinely admire your country and people when I visit, but there are a large number of categories in Waymarking that have been unnecssarily limited and some awareness that all should be able to participate is the motivation behind my comments. I also see some waymarks being limited as quite legitimate. Blue Star highways can only be found in the US so defining it that way is fine. JDandDD Link to comment
+Ed Rad
I did not mean to slight tracks in other countries. My scope of racing that I follow is limited to NASCAR which in only in the USA. I was just using the examples that I am familiar with. I'm sure any track in any country would be welcome since there are many different divisions, types and circuits. Link to comment
