Validation?

I was a geocacher long ago (three years). My VW club is interested in geocaching but I can't use my old account.

 

I have updated my profile with the correct email address but no response from Groundspeak. I would surely hate to start over again.

Seriously, Groundspeak won't see your question here. The best thing to do would be to write them at contact@ geocaching.com, so that a Groundspeak Lackey can investigate your account status, let you know whether a confirmation message was sent, etc. Often, messages from a Groundspeak mail bot will get trapped in spam filters, etc.
