+bobbarley
A friend of mine was helping a buddy the other day and noticed that when they brought their units together both started showing WAAS. Otherwise nothing. Their units were a Lowrance and a Magellan. Any suggestions as to why this was happening? Is it good or bad to have two units close to each other? Quote Link to comment
+Klemmer
Strange. I have noticed several times that sometimes with two GPS receivers near each other, there is a little cross-talk (Electro-magnetic Interference - EMI), resulting in a lower EPE number for both units, or funky positions. i would just keep then a foot or more apart. Any electronic device raiates SOME EMI, which has the potential for interferece with other devices. But WAAS getting received when two units are close together - that's just weird.
