+WWC-World's Worst Cacher Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Okay here is the web site for the new Grand Canyon coin. It has been open for preorders to purchasers of other coins I have produced. The total minting will be 900 and about 800 have been spoken for. http://www.geocoin.byethost5.com/index_files/page0003.htm Follow the directions here for preorder. If you have purchased other coins: San Francisco / Yosemite when you preorder please make a note of that and the paypal e-mail address you used for that purchase. Note to those who have already preordered: The most current artwork is posted (minor changes only) and the metals have been changed to copper and Nickel. Thanks Southbayday Quote
+pdxmarathonman Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 The pictures aren't showing up. Try refreshing the page. I can see the pictures. Quote
+Team Sand Dollar Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Is there a list of those that are on the preorder list. Team Sand Dollar Quote
+cainrcc Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Email sent But I wish I would have recived the preorder email from you since I bought the first coin !! Thanks Quote
+Slammer180 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Ordered 2. My e-mail ended up in the spam folder. Glad I got in! Quote
+WWC-World's Worst Cacher Posted January 5, 2006 Author Posted January 5, 2006 I will try to get a preorder list up on the website tomorrow or over the weekend. Not a promise though. I will be out of town over the weekend and . . . . . the Yosemite's will arrive in the next day or two. They should go out in the mail on Tuesday. Quote
+elmosmelmo Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 email sent. These are gonna be AWESOME BABY!! Quote
+WWC-World's Worst Cacher Posted January 5, 2006 Author Posted January 5, 2006 Okay . . . . I am going to close this thread and let it drift on into oblivion. There are way more requests than there will be coins. Any new requests will go on a third tier waitlist, which probably means, next coin = being on priority preorder list. I will try to get preorder lists posted tomorrow. Thanks for all the interest. Southbayday. Quote
+WWC-World's Worst Cacher Posted January 11, 2006 Author Posted January 11, 2006 The final approved artwork has been posted at: http://www.geocoin.byethost5.com/index_files/page0003.htm There is also a current status update. Quote
ParentsofSAM Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Looks Great! I am on the secondary list hope I get one! Quote
+Puma Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 OK, I just tried to order my allotment of 4 coins but the system charges me $ 14.00 for shipping of 4 coins to Germany?!?! Quote
+El_Rolfo Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 OK, I just tried to order my allotment of 4 coins but the system charges me $ 14.00 for shipping of 4 coins to Germany?!?! I have the same problem: shipping costs to Germany 17,50$ for 5 coins. I think the system add 3,50$ for each coin. Could you please fix the bug? Quote
+G Force Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I got charged $7 for two coins to the UK. Quote
+AtlantaGal Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 (edited) I got charged no shipping cause it's built into the coin price for the US shipment using my priority code. I think there is a glitch where instead of adding $3.50 per order for international, it's adding it per coin. Steve, When are Yosemete coins being shipped out. I really don't like paying for another one until the prior one is delivered. Edited January 15, 2006 by AtlantaGal Quote

+WWC-World's Worst Cacher Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 Ops . . . seems a language problem in definitions caused the problem for international orders. So . . . . I think that A. The problem has been fixed for future orders B. That all of those who were overcharged on paypal have had the shipping charge refunded. Sorry for the problem. Steve Quote
+Puma Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 paid mine ... Works fine, thanks for the fix. Quote
+WWC-World's Worst Cacher Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 Everyone Should have received a payment instruction e-mail that included their discount code. If you did not receive and e-mail and should have (you were on the preorder list) Please e-mail me. I did have a couple of errors so I know a couple are missing. Quote
+HerrK & Friends Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Aaaaargh....I have little problem SouthBayDay! After I could not login the onlineshop and sent a request for a temporary new password, I saw that not a wrong password was my problem, but I took my geonick instead of my eMail address! Unfortunately the new password didn't arrive me yet! Quote

+LadeBear68 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 (edited) I ordered some of the coins due to being on the pre-order list, I will not be happy if they are selling the coins for that much. I really believe it gives a black eye to the geocoin community to try and sell a coin for that price. I hope it is more of a deterrent at this point. Edited January 16, 2006 by LadeBear68 Quote

Did you not receive a special code to put down on the invoice. Those who were on the pre-order list received an e-mail with a special code to put in before paying to bring the coins down to regular price. Quote

I really believe it gives a black eye to the geocoin community to try and sell a coin for that price. I hope it is more of a deterrent at this point. It is only a deterrrent! I had one guy start to order and told him that he shouldn't. Worst case basis there will be some on e-bay that will sell for less. But unless I priced them that high . . . . it could have happened. So . . . none so far. Someone did purchase a few pins for the high price, but they meant to purchase coins, so we fixed it. Quote
+LadeBear68 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 (edited) Thank you for setting it straight southbayday. Yes I received an email. Edited January 16, 2006 by LadeBear68 Quote
+BisonWoman Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I paid for 3. When I replied to the email, I got a Mail System Error--Returned Mail. I hope that's not a problem. Quote
