Traveling To Melbourne

I will be in Melbourne for a Zonta conference June 2006 and would like to do some caches within walking distance of our hotel/conference site. We will be staying at the Crown Promenade Hotel on Whiteman Street in Melbourne. Can you tell me how I can restrict my search to close to that area????

Thanks!

The Crown Promenade hotel on Whiteman street in on the South side of the Yarra River alongside the Crown Casino complex.

The Central Business District for the city of Melbourne is on the North side of the Yarra River.

The postcode for Melbourne is 3000 and you can search by postcode for Australian locales.

From the hotel, you can walk through the casino complex onto the promenade along side of the Yarra. Two of my caches are along the casino side of the Yarra on the promenade.

If you click on the link on those cache pages for Find ... all nearby caches, you should find plenty to occupy your time in the CBD and in the surrounding suburbs.

June is in the middle our winter. It won't snow, but it will likely be cold and wet. The temperature during the day will probably be around the 14 degres C mark.

This link might help you to determine what weather we get at that time.

Don't forget to convert C to F if you need to.

Hope you enjoy your stay in Melbourne.
