gas4cache
if this is off topic for here, please move it. is there anyone who has done this cache: Forthebirds I went to do it the other day, and it appears you have to go accross a locked gate(around actually) to get to it. I didn't want to chance it. Do you have to go during times the gate is open, or is it not on the other side of the gate...thx Ron Quote Link to comment
Team Neos
I would email that question to the cache owner (apparently they work at the location) or perhaps one of the cachers that has been there recently. Quote Link to comment
icefall5
I agree with Team Neos. You should e-mail the owner or someone who was there recently. If you went at a "questionable" time (late at night, holiday, etc.) you should go there during sometime that isn't "questionable". Edited January 2, 2006 by icefall5 Quote Link to comment
gas4cache
Well, it was a holiday. I thought I knew where it was and it's very near the fence. But when I was at the fence, the coordinates showed it still 80 feet away. I'll email the owner, thankx. Ron Quote Link to comment
4leafclover
read the very first reviewer note on it...here this was at an "Audobon Society" preserve, right? I go woth the guesses that it was closed for the holiday.... Quote Link to comment
4leafclover
This log might contain a valuable clue, too... from reading the logs, it sounds like it's a cute cache. I already think I know what you need to look for... Quote Link to comment
Swamp Thing
The cache is available 24 hours each day, every day of the year. The cache has the approval of the land manager. Due to a robbery after the Boo In The Swamp show, the nearby neighbor is particularly observant. Geocachers need only state that they are geocaching with the permission of the staff. +4leafclover
but it sounds like on this particular occasion, the gates were actually locked... Quote Link to comment
briansnat
Moving the the appropriate regional forum where the locals who might be more familiar with this can address it. Quote Link to comment
gas4cache
Now that I know it's accessible, 24/7, I know where it's at and what to look for..lol. Moderator, feel free to delete this topic please Ron M. Quote Link to comment
