I have noticed that many of the parks that I have gone to have little or no actual trash cans. This may be due to the fact it is winter, but maybe not. My town has a program called KIC (Keep Islip Clean), and I'm sure many of the towns around the country have something similar. Why not go to our towns and ask them to place a few more trash barrels around the parks and have them put into the pick-up routes? They may even allow CITO labels to be placed on them. This may encourage people to put trash where it belongs. Won't work for everyone I know....but it may help. Quote Link to comment

That be a service project that would hlep clean up parks (duh!) and also raise public awarness of the program. I think that I'd like to do something like that in my area. Great idea!!!
