+WeR3
I'm wondering what everyone thinks about a cache, actually a multi-stage, that is designed to be located at night. I'm not going to be specific at this point because I'm still fermenting my ideas but what do think about a multi-stage cache that is a little easier to find at night than in the day. thanks Quote Link to comment
+Confucius' Cat
I won't go for it., No way! Quote Link to comment
+Confucius' Cat
Because you aren't in my area I would LOVE it. Go for it, Dude. Quote Link to comment
+radioscout
Multi stage night caches are very common in Europe. Most of them use reflectors to mark the way or the stages there you will find the coordinates of the next stage. Some nightcaches use electronic devices that light up if they are illuminated with a flashlight or use a laser pointer triggered by an infrared remote control to show you the cache or a stage. edit: typo Edited January 1, 2006 by radioscout Quote Link to comment
Stearmandriver
Hell yes, I love poking around outside at night. For those who aren't used to it, it can make a familiar area seem like a whole different world. Sounds like great fun... Quote Link to comment
+Confucius' Cat
I especially love hiking park trails at night (where legal). You see many neat things that you would never see in the day time, like glow worms fer-instance. So go for it. And turn out the lights once in a while during the hunt. Quote Link to comment
+sbell111
You should go for it. There are other caches like you propose that use reflecters to lead you from place to place. As you set it up, consider what it will be like at night. Watch out for dangers. You don't want to kill off too many of your fellow cachers, do you? Quote Link to comment
+Confucius' Cat
And be sure that people being there at night is legal. Check carefully for any posted or unposted restrictions. Another very important thing to consider is what will the search activities look like to muggles? We live in very paranoid times. Quote Link to comment

+Melrose Plant
I just did my first night cache tonight, and it was really cool! I should say, my first night cache that was designed to be a night cache only. I only wish I'd had a chance to set one up first. Now I have to think of a different twist on it if I want one of my own. Melrose Quote Link to comment
+Airmapper
Night caches are great!!! There is one in Land Between the Lakes called "Flashlight Required" The local caching club (KTAG) had an event just to go to it. I had done it before they went and had a blast!!! Quote Link to comment
+Edinburgh walker
I have created a night cache based on colours of lights, and other things that you can only see at night. See GCHBH0. Have fun! Quote Link to comment
+Sonoran Privateers
I just did my first one last night. My whole family really enjoyed it. We agreed it had been one of the most entertaining caches yet. We need more of these! Quote Link to comment

That sounds awesome!!! I have yet to do a night cache, but I want to. There is one somewhere around here, I think 20 miles away...
